3.0/3.5 StarsI really enjoyed Tag so I was looking forward to reading You’re It. This Novella takes place four years later and life for Tango and Cali has been good. They have a beautiful daughter Tyler and have adjusted and made their life as normal as possible. Now the men responsible for the drug that cured Tango want to test Tyler to study the effects his injection may have caused in her. Tango and Cali are not happy and will do whatever is necessary to prevent it from happening.
I loved Tango and was glad to see he was the same protective hot man I remember. I wasn’t as happy with Cali. I remember her being tough and independent, but I thought she pushed it a little close to being obnoxious in this book. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with protecting your child, I just didn’t recall her being so rude and edgy.
Bottom line, it was nice for the catch up and I’m glad Tango and Cali got their happy ending.

The Review
What a fantastic addition to Tango and Cali’s story! I loved this novella.
In TAG, Tango and Cali meet when Cali’s father hires Tango to protect her from men who are after him for something he’s stolen. But what Cali didn’t know was that Tango was terminal and what Tango didn’t know was that Cali would ultimately be his salvation. Their story was an on-the-run, hot, adventurous romance that was a lot of fun to read. But I always wanted more. And now we have it.
Four years after Tango and Cali settle into a somewhat normal life with their daughter, the “bad men” are back and this time, they want Tyler. You’re It was a quick, sexy novella giving us a glimpse back into their lives. The author really bumped up the hot factor and gave us some sweet and steamy romance scenes as well as a little taste of adventure, all before wrapping things up nicely and quietly. Cali was just as tough as she was in the first book and Tango was just as drop-your-panties swoon-worthy. I love these two indomitable characters who have been through so much together. And their daughter Tyler? Too freaking cute for words!
I’d love to see Tango, Cali and Tyler back for more action but if this is their ending, it was a perfect way to go. You can read this as a standalone but I’d suggest starting with TAG, because you’ll surely fall in love with this dangerous duo!
Quit reading, chapters bounce between lead characters.

I highly recommend this Novella. I just wish it was longer!! I really enjoyed "Tag" and couldn't wait to read "You're It"!! I read the whole story in one sitting and could not put it down!! I love getting both Cali and Tango's perspectives and how the author's writing can help you understand what they're feeling - putting you in their shoes. "Tag" is Cali and Tango's love story and how they met and how they came to be, where "You're It" is a continence of their story with their little girl. It's awesome to see how much the characters have evolved after becoming parents and how much they are still the same - and how fierce their love for one another is. I hope that we'll get more of Cali and Tango in the future!!
Loved this novella. Follow up to TAG. It gave a sort of conclusion to TAG. This author is a great writer. I'd read more from her.
Alright, first off thanks to Shari J Ryan for providing me a copy of this to read in exchange for an honest review.
Secondly, I'm still head over heels for Cali and Tango... I mean they are just awesome together. It's a match made in mercenary heaven. (Sighs and swoons) And they are both totally hot bad-asses so.. What's not to love, right?
This story could be read as a stand alone but if you LOVED TAG as I did, this little novella will make you want to fall in love with them all over again! The days that Tango and Cali spend in their new life, with their daughter hiding out have been full of... moments. You know the ones that you see now and think "well, that went well" and in a year you will laugh and be embarrassed. (laughs)
Cali is a strong willed, hot head that will do anything and everything she can to keep her family together. Safe and in the same state of life they are now getting used to. So when the 'bad guys' show up again its pissed off mama bear to the rescue. Tango can only hang on for the ride. Together they can kick ass and take names later. And in the fashion only they can.
This was a quick read that had engaging characters. It was full of plenty of angst, suspense, and mystery. I had not read TAG but I did not feel lost with this story.
